In today’s professional landscape, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shifted from a distant concept to a daily tool. We all see the headlines and hear the buzzwords, but the real question is: how do we bridge the gap between hearing about AI and using it to make a real impact at work?
To answer this for myself, I recently dedicated time to completing the Google AI Essentials course. This isn’t just a summary of the curriculum; it’s a reflection on my key learnings, the most surprising “aha!” moments, and how I’m already putting these skills into practice. Here’s my take.
The Real Power of AI is in the Prompt
The first and most immediate lesson was that the quality of AI output is 100% dependent on the quality of the input. The course helped me move from giving simple commands to crafting detailed prompts. A truly effective prompt isn’t just a question; it’s a set of clear instructions that provides a Role, Context, and a specific Task.
